ATA REIT has been re-established by review of contract on 11 October 2012, prior to the original contract established on 20 March 1997, and has been conducting business as of then as a REIT. According to the Capital Market Law, it was established with a formal equity ceiling of 50.000.000 TL, issued capital is 23.750.000 TL. Ata REIT, in accordance with the Capital Market Council's written documents regarding to real estate investment trust's missions and areas, deals mainly with real estates, real estate related capital market tools, real estate projects, rights concerning real estates and capital market investment tools.

It is a formal, registered, publicly-held corporation. Ata REIT's investment goal is a variety of real estate valuables and projects in order to assemble a highly profitable investment portfolio. Ata REIT mainly focuses on commercial real estate valuables and projects that both grant a high rent income and future value profit in time. Any leasable real estate, retail, office, logistics are mainly in this category by definition. While genuinenly seeking commercial real estate, Ata REIT may also invest in other segments of the sector such as housing, as is stated in its general assembly ruling.
